· A team of 24 took on the Tough Mudder Manchester 5k, Yorkshire 5K and Yorkshire 10K.

· In total £2215 was raised for the charity Mind.

During the month of July, a team of 24 brave SYNETIQ colleagues took on the Tough Mudder obstacle course to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind. The three teams made up in total of 24 colleagues, ran the 5K or 10K course in Manchester and Skipton.

The infamous muddy course included up to 20 challenging obstacles across the fields from ‘Artic Enema’ – an ice-cold pit to ‘Electroshock Therapy’ – a field of wires pumping 10,000 volts through them. Physically and mentally demanding, the challenge highlighted everyone’s “no quit” attitude and showed how great they could work as a team. The team’s donation page totalled £2215, with all proceeds going to Mind.

Helen Carling, Marketing Director said: “We are so proud of our colleagues for taking part in the Tough Mudder challenge. The money raised will go towards funding the charity, Mind, to be able to support those going through mental challenges and standing up to any injustices in healthcare, work and law.”
