SYNETIQ, an IAA company and one of the UK’s leading vehicle salvage, dismantling and recycling companies, is proud to announce a significant achievement in its commitment to a safety-first culture. Its entire management team have successfully attained the IOSH Managing Safely qualification and its Board and Directors achieve IOSH Directing Safely.

The IOSH Managing Safely qualification, a globally recognised standard, has been a pivotal step forward for SYNETIQ in reinforcing its safety-first culture. The initiative has been in progress since early 2023, with the board leading the way by completing the rigorous IOSH Leading Safety for Executives and Directors course. Subsequently, managers and team leaders followed suit, demonstrating the company’s dedication to fostering a culture of safety at all levels.

By achieving this milestone, SYNETIQ aims to reduce operational risk and ensure that its leaders are well-equipped to navigate and address safety challenges effectively. The IOSH Managing Safely qualification equips the management team with the necessary skills and knowledge to proactively manage health and safety within the organisation.

More than just a token gesture, the commitment to safety runs deep within SYNETIQ, with over 100 colleagues now holding the IOSH Managing Safely qualification. This demonstrates the company’s investment in the professional development of its workforce and underscores its dedication to maintaining the highest health and safety standards.

One of the key advantages of this qualification is its ability to establish consistent health and safety standards across SYNETIQ’s locations. By ensuring that leaders at every level have a comprehensive understanding of safety management, the company is poised to create a uniform and robust safety framework across its entire operation.

“We are thrilled to announce that our entire management team has achieved the IOSH Managing Safely qualification,” said Natalie Buckley, SYNETIQ’s People Director. “The successful completion of the IOSH Managing Safely qualification is a testament to our unwavering commitment to prioritising safety in everything we do. We believe that a strong safety culture is not just a requirement; it is a fundamental value that guides our actions and decisions. This milestone is a reflection of our dedication to the wellbeing of our colleagues and the communities in which we operate.”

With this achievement, SYNETIQ reaffirms its position as an industry leader not only in the vehicle recycling industry but also in setting the standard for health and safety practices. The company looks forward to further enhancing its safety-first culture and maintaining a secure and healthy workplace for its colleagues.
