LKQ SYNETIQ opens in Sheffield to give local garages faster access to recycled OE parts
Following a successful pilot, independent garages and bodyshops across the Sheffield area can now access LKQ SYNETIQ recycled original equipment (OE) parts.
LKQ SYNETIQ is leveraging the LKQ Euro Car Parts Regional Fulfilment Centre (RFC) in Sheffield to increase the depth and breadth of product availability to the network of 23 branches it supports.
The initiative marks a significant step forward in closer collaboration between LKQ SYNETIQ and LKQ Euro Car Parts, improving access to recycled OE components while delivering more cost-effective, sustainable solutions for customers.
The model combines trusted local branch infrastructure with LKQ SYNETIQ’s recycled OE expertise, making recycled OE parts easier to source locally.
Justin Elliot, Sales Director at LKQ SYNETIQ, said: “This is a practical step forward for our customers. By opening at the LKQ Euro Car Parts Sheffield RFC, we’re making recycled OE parts far more accessible. Sheffield is one of 14 RFCs, and we have plans to roll this model out nationwide.
“Garages can now benefit from improved availability and a straightforward route to sourcing cost-effective, quality repair solutions, supported by a dedicated team of parts specialists providing expert advice and technical support.”

The rollout marks another step forward in closer alignment across the LKQ group, creating a faster, more connected route to market for sustainable, affordable, quality recycled OE parts.
Ultimately the ambition is for all LKQ Euro Car Parts customers to have the choice between aftermarket and recycled OE components, making sustainable repair options easier to access locally than ever before.
LKQ SYNETIQ is a joint venture between LKQ Europe and SYNETIQ Ltd, an IAA company, created in 2025 as part of LKQ’s ongoing commitment to recycling and remanufacturing, and to building a more connected, circular and economically sustainable automotive aftermarket.
