Planet Road is on the lookout for a skilled Engine Prepper to join our growing team in Doncaster.
As an Engine Prepper, you will be responsible for ensuring that engines are properly cleaned and inspected to meet our high-quality standards. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of engines and a meticulous approach to work.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Remove and separate gearboxes from engines
- Remove engine ancillaries
- Prepare engines ready for sale including checking quality and testing that they are in good working order
- Imaging engines
- Using our bespoke computer system to add the engines to our inventory system
- Wrapping the engines ready for sale
Here’s what you bring:
- Have a good knowledge of vehicle engines
- Have a basic set of tools and impact gun
- Have good computer skills, with the ability to adapt to our bespoke parts software
- Have good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a competent and efficient manner
- Work well on your own or as part of a busy team
- Strong communication skills
- You will need to be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi task methodically
