The Nether Green under-9s are the latest junior football club to receive support from the UK’s leading vehicle salvage, dismantling and recycling company.
Established in the 1990s, Nether Green FC is based at Bents Green in Sheffield and is one of the fastest growing clubs in the area, offering a clear grassroots pathway from pre-league age development groups all the way through to adult football.
The club aims to create a safe environment for local children, aged from 6 to 18, to make friends, learn new skills and have fun while being active. It emphasises participation and diversity and does not trial its young players.
With more than 200 youngsters now signed up to play in 21 league teams this season, SYNETIQ has sponsored the under-9s team kit. The business has supported multiple grassroots clubs in 2021.
The team is very close to SYNETIQ CEO Tom Rumboll’s heart, who is the team’s coach and whose 8 year old twin sons, Albert and Arthur play in the team.
Tom said: “It is great to see the SYNETIQ name on our new kit. Our aim at SYNETIQ is to be a force for good for our colleagues and communities so I am delighted we were able to support our club that has participation and community at its heart.”
