We are looking for an outgoing customer focused Transport Planner to lead on all day to day planning of our vehicle collections and deliveries nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be able to prioritise, work in a fast dynamic operation, be based at our central Doncaster operation, covering vehicle collections and deliveries nationally from and to residential and commercial properties, with the ability to multi task and instruct our drivers on their job to optimise performance and efficiencies. You will be working with the UK’s biggest vehicle dismantler & salvage specialist planning collecting, delivering & transporting vehicles around SYNETIQ depots and directly from and to customers premises and private residences.

  • Manage/produce national vehicle collection & delivery plans.
  • Looking to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of the operation
  • Generate weekly operational planning pack including KPI’s and SLA’s highlighting efficiencies and ongoing opportunities.
  • Submit theoretical scenarios to improve efficiencies

Skills & Experience required:

  • Relevant experience within a transport office or planning role is essential
  • Good IT skills, including planning tools, MS Word and Excel
  • Experience of multi-site team working
  • Great communication skills with an ability to balance conflicting demands
  • Ability to work to KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Improve vehicle utilisation, productivity, efficiency of the operation.
  • Excellent national geographical knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • DBS Check and Drug & Alcohol Test can be completed by all candidates.
